If André Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mário Matias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Paredes in the 39th minute of play forced Mosteiros FC's goalkeeper Gabriel Teixeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute, Carregado FC's Nuno Leal ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gabriel Teixeira. Gabriel Teixeira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joaquim Paredes to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Carregado FC's Pedro Alves got control of the ball when Mário Matias tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 59 played minutes Carregado FC got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Setúbal. André Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Pedro Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Carregado FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Bernardo Setúbal hit a great ball. Mosteiros FC's Gabriel Teixeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Setúbal in the 68th minute of play. Joaquim Paredes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gabriel Teixeira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Carregado FC's Bernardo Setúbal got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Carregado FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Amílcar Paredes hit a great ball. Mosteiros FC's André Monteiro got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 81 minutes into the match, Mosteiros FC's Mário Matias sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Alves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mário Matias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Pedro Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mário Matias scored 1-1 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Alves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 96 minutes, Joaquim Paredes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carregado FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquim Paredes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
