Bento Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Joaquim Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joaquim Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bento Leão in the 9th minute of play. The supporters of Touroes FC booed when SC Loreto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristóvão Jesus didn't get a good kick on the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Adelino Faro notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Touroes FC's Miguel Viegas. Miguel Viegas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 15th minute, Manuel Ramos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Touroes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Álvaro Dias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 38 minutes into the game, Bento Leão recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Joaquim Simões. Bento Leão showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. If André Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Touroes FC's goalkeeper Miguel Viegas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In a very dangerous position, a player in Touroes FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 87th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 89 minutes, SC Loreto's Afonso Gomes got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Miguel Viegas. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
