Lobata FC's Vítor Cabral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Lobata FC from getting a goal against them. Catarino Neto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Branco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 6 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Belece! Catarino Neto went to the wrong direction when Albertino Leal was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Inácio Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Catarino Neto having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Oliveira Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th match minute, SC Belece was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliveira Paiva to maneuver through the defense. João Branco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Catarino Neto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Lobata FC's Inácio Abreu got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. David Henriques hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute Emanuel Gueifão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Catarino Neto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th match minute, SC Belece was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliveira Paiva to maneuver through the defense. João Branco scored 0-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Catarino Neto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, João Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lobata FC's supporters rose to their feet, but João Branco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Catarino Neto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Inácio Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Catarino Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, João Branco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Catarino Neto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lúcio Pinho to make the kick off. Inácio Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to SC Belece getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Carlos Delgado hit a great ball. In the 63rd match minute, Lobata FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusébio Figueiredo to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Inácio Abreu got free with Catarino Neto in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carlos Delgado hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. 70 minutes into the match, Lobata FC's Inácio Abreu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Catarino Neto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers João Branco in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Catarino Neto saved SC Belece from getting behind. Catarino Neto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Branco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lúcio Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Cabral having to interfere. Vítor Cabral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Delgado in the 80th minute of the match. Lúcio Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Vítor Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Lobata FC's João Branco dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. 92 minutes into the match, SC Belece's goal looked a bit too open when João Branco came free, but Catarino Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SC Belece's Catarino Neto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Branco in the 94th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Lobata FC's zone, Lúcio Pinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vítor Cabral came out of the goal and Lúcio Pinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The SC Belece supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Lobata FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Lobata FC.
