Jorge Sousa hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 15 minutes into the match, SC Juncal's goal looked a bit too open when Filipe Resende came free, but Paulo Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Juncal's goalkeeper Paulo Rocha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Filipe Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from António Veiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filipe Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Neto, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 24th minute of the match Jorge Sousa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Filipe Sousa skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in SC Juncal's zone, Bernardo Ferro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Rocha came out of the goal and Bernardo Ferro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 30th minute Armando Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When António Veiga came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the SC Juncal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that António Veiga couldn't finish the play. Bernardo Ferro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Paulo Rocha made a huge save. After having played for 36 minutes, Armando Neto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Juncal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Neto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Armando Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Pedro Aguiar fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Camparca's protests and gave Pedro Aguiar a yellow card for diving instead. After 40 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Camparca! Bernardo Ferro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for André Barros to strike the kick off in the second half. Paulo Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Ferro in the 52nd minute of play. In the 54th minute of the match SC Camparca got a corner. SC Juncal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Filipe Resende ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led SC Camparca's Filipe Resende to fire away a dangerous shot which Paulo Rocha despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 55 played minutes SC Camparca got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Aguiar. António Veiga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Filipe Sousa made a huge save. Filipe Sousa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Armando Neto's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Filipe Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Neto in the 63rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Bernardo Ferro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulo Rocha was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Juncal's goalkeeper Paulo Rocha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
