Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sebastião Mota started the match with the kick off. In the 9th minute, one of SC Labrujo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Labrujo. Américo Delgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastião Mota in the 15th minute of the match. The supporters of SC Labrujo booed when Maxieira FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Viegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquim Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Américo Delgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 25th minute by Sebastião Mota got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Joaquim Branco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Américo Delgado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. When SC Labrujo's Abel Torres in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Maxieira FC's goalie prevented a goal. Sebastião Mota was extremely unlucky when he, in the 30th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Diogo Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Torres in the 37th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Joaquim Branco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, SC Labrujo's Eusébio Teixeira got a free kick in the 41st minute. Joaquim Branco might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Américo Delgado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joaquim Branco ran back to his position shaking his head. Maxieira FC's attack was well implemented in the 44th minute, but when Sebastião Mota was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Joaquim Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Abel Torres stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Maxieira FC's Rui Miranda got a free kick in the 54th minute. Diogo Silva was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Paulo Henriques. If Joaquim Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 57 minutes into the game, David Gaspar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Labrujo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maxieira FC the free kick. A collision led to SC Labrujo getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. David Gaspar hit a great ball. In the 61st minute Abel Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diogo Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd match minute, SC Labrujo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusébio Teixeira to maneuver through the defense. Américo Delgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mário Veiga in the 65th minute of play. The supporters of SC Labrujo booed when Maxieira FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mário Veiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Joaquim Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, SC Labrujo's David Gaspar got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Américo Delgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastião Mota, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joaquim Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Américo Delgado having to interfere. Américo Delgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastião Mota in the 79th minute of play. After some careless play in the SC Labrujo defense, Sebastião Mota kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Américo Delgado. The SC Labrujo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Américo Delgado should have stopped the shot. In the 93rd minute, Eusébio Reis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Diogo Silva was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 97 minutes into the match, Maxieira FC's goalkeeper Diogo Silva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eusébio Reis. Maxieira FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
