Alfredo Nunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from António Vieira in the 10th minute of the match. After having played for 12 minutes, António Vieira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Danaia's supporters crossed their fingers, but António Vieira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hélder Borba's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Simão Barbosa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Hélder Borba managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Azeitada's supporters rose to their feet, but Hélder Borba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simão Barbosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 24th minute, António Santarém reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Simão Barbosa. The goal made the score 1-0. After 26 minutes, David Gueifão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Danaia and the SC Azeitada players grew even worse after the yellow card. David Gueifão kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. SC Azeitada's Alfredo Nunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Vieira in the 29th minute of play. Delfim Gueifão charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Delfim Gueifão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 30th match minute, SC Danaia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delfim Gueifão to maneuver through the defense. Alfredo Nunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duarte Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If António Santarém had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hélder Borba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simão Barbosa having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, António Santarém got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to SC Danaia getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Cristiano Gueifão hit a great ball. 2-0 became the score in the 45th minute when Hélder Borba elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Simão Barbosa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hélder Borba's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. In the 62nd minute, António Vieira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Duarte Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredo Nunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from António Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. José Resende hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Duarte Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Nunes having to interfere.
