In the 3rd minute, Abel Dias fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The audience was convinced that Tomás Baptista's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vítor Soares was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Vítor Soares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Baptista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sandro Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Vítor Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Baioes FC's goalkeeper Luís Pires, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ricardo Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Pires having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Abel Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Azinhaga FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Abel Dias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Pires breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Azinhaga FC's Ricardo Gaspar got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Tomás Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vítor Soares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandro Vale in the 31st minute of the match. The Baioes FC fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Baioes FC's Tomás Baptista looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Sandro Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Soares having to interfere. Vítor Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandro Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 45th minute, Sandro Vale left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Baioes FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ricardo Gaspar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Abel Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Pires having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Baioes FC's Vítor Soares threw himself towards the right post 55 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tomás Baptista, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Tomás Baptista came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Baioes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomás Baptista couldn't finish the play. Vítor Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Baptista in the 58th minute of play. Óscar Branco took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luís Pires. Baioes FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A hard shot 64 in the game by Sandro Vale from a close distance when the talented Vítor Soares managed to make a qualified save. Azinhaga FC's players were relieved. After having played for 65 minutes, Tomás Baptista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Baioes FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomás Baptista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomás Baptista in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vítor Soares saved Azinhaga FC from getting behind. In the 68thth minute of the game Tomás Baptista who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Azinhaga FC's Vítor Soares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Tomás Baptista managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baioes FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomás Baptista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vítor Soares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 73rd minute, Tomás Baptista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 75th minute Tomás Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 77 played minutes Baioes FC got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Freitas. Cristiano Alves, 78 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Sandro Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Soares having to interfere. In the 84th minute Ricardo Gaspar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Abel Dias had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luís Pires. Baioes FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abel Dias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After 91 played minutes Azinhaga FC got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Macedo. If Tomás Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute, Cristiano Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 95 minutes into the game, Sandro Vale cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Vítor Soares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Azinhaga FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Baioes FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
