Daniel Mendes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute, André Amaral reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Daniel Mendes. The goal made the score 1-0. If Ricardo Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusébio Paiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heitor Coelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. A collision led to SC Ferreirinhos getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Ricardo Amorim hit a great ball. If Ricardo Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in SC Taboabela's zone, Ricardo Amorim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eusébio Paiva came out of the goal and Ricardo Amorim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 33 minutes into the match, SC Taboabela's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Amorim came free, but Eusébio Paiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ricardo Amorim in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eusébio Paiva saved SC Taboabela from getting behind. When Amílcar Reis came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the SC Ferreirinhos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amílcar Reis couldn't finish the play. An unexpected shot in the 46th minute by Marco Oliveira got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If André Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ricardo Amorim to make the kick off. If Marco Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marco Oliveira in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daniel Mendes saved SC Ferreirinhos from getting behind. SC Taboabela's André Amaral got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Heitor Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute, Amílcar Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in SC Ferreirinhos's zone, Marco Oliveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Mendes came out of the goal and Marco Oliveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SC Taboabela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 84th minute, when Ricardo Amorim scored to the left of an out of position Eusébio Paiva, making the score, 1-1. 89 minutes into the game, SC Taboabela's Gustavo Reis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Daniel Mendes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. SC Taboabela were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SC Ferreirinhos for a fine match.
