In the 26th minute of the match Logoela FC got a corner. Montemor FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jaime Magalhães ran over to the corner to take the kick. Logoela FC's Jaime Magalhães was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Manuel Santarém in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 28 minutes into the match, Montemor FC's goal looked a bit too open when Xavier Pereira came free, but Manuel Santarém reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manuel Santarém took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xavier Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 31 minutes, Manuel Macedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Logoela FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuel Macedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 35 minutes, Marco Assis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Xavier Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Montemor FC's goalkeeper Manuel Santarém, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Xavier Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Santarém having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Manuel Macedo made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Moreira in the 53rd minute of play forced Logoela FC's goalkeeper Marco Assis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xavier Pereira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Manuel Santarém made a huge save. 58 minutes into the game, Montemor FC's Afonso Moreira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marco Assis made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 61 minutes into the game, Viriato Porto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montemor FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Logoela FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Montemor FC's Viriato Porto got a free kick in the 61st minute. Delfim Matias kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Heitor Santarém in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marco Assis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Afonso Moreira came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Montemor FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Afonso Moreira couldn't finish the play. In the 85th match minute, Montemor FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delfim Matias to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Logoela FC booed when Montemor FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delfim Matias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xavier Pereira in the 91stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Manuel Santarém, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A hard shot 94 in the game by Xavier Pereira from a close distance when the talented Manuel Santarém managed to make a qualified save. Montemor FC's players were relieved. Manuel Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Montemor FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
