After 2 played minutes SC Portomar got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Macedo. Mariano Antunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Melo in the 6th minute of play. A collision led to SC Portomar getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Sérgio Moura hit a great ball. If João Paredes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vicente Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Antunes having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, SC Seixeira's goalkeeper Basílio Ferreira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernando Faro. In the 16th minute João Paredes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariano Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute, SC Portomar's Albertino Martins ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Basílio Ferreira. Basílio Ferreira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 25th minute, João Paredes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Albertino Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to SC Seixeira getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Joaquim Santos hit a great ball. Vicente Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Vicente Melo fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Seixeira's protests and gave Vicente Melo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SC Seixeira getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Vicente Melo hit a great ball. SC Portomar's Fernando Faro got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vicente Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for João Paredes to strike the kick off in the second half. Miguel Macedo kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. João Paredes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Antunes having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SC Portomar's Miguel Macedo got a free kick in the 67th minute. Joaquim Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Joaquim Santos charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joaquim Santos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 71st minute, Joaquim Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to SC Seixeira getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Joaquim Santos hit a great ball. Luís Magalhães's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Basílio Ferreira on his right side and into the goal. 74 minutes into the game it was 2-0. If Fernando Faro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, João Paredes managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Seixeira's supporters rose to their feet, but João Paredes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mariano Antunes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Fernando Faro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Joaquim Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
