Logoela FC's Marco Assis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albertino Martins in the 28th minute of play. Xavier Pereira struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Mariano Antunes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Logoela FC. In the 33rd minute, Manuel Macedo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Mariano Antunes, passed just outside the right post. After a defensive mix-up in SC Portomar's zone, Armando Ramos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mariano Antunes came out of the goal and Armando Ramos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Logoela FC's goalkeeper Marco Assis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. SC Portomar's Albertino Martins got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half SC Portomar were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Manuel Macedo made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Armando Ramos during the 53rd minute. In the 74th minute, Manuel Macedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to SC Portomar getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Paulo Coelho hit a great ball. The ball had pretty good speed, but Marco Assis firmly grabbed it by the left post. Xavier Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albertino Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernando Faro got free with Marco Assis in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Albertino Martins in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marco Assis saved Logoela FC from getting behind. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SC Portomar had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
