Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when João Paredes got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of Montemor FC booed when SC Seixeira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquim Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vicente Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Manuel Santarém tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Montemor FC's Delfim Matias got a free kick in the 10th minute. If Vicente Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Montemor FC's Manuel Santarém played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Paredes in the 21st minute of play. Manuel Santarém made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Paredes in the 22nd minute of play. Manuel Santarém made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vicente Melo in the 23rd minute. João Melo charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Melo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 34th minute, João Melo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that João Paredes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manuel Santarém was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Heitor Santarém scored 1-1 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Basílio Ferreira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Afonso Moreira in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Basílio Ferreira saved SC Seixeira from getting behind. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Heitor Santarém was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Afonso Moreira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montemor FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Afonso Moreira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Basílio Ferreira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Afonso Moreira got free with Basílio Ferreira in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Heitor Santarém received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Basílio Ferreira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Afonso Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Ferreira having to interfere. João Paredes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Basílio Ferreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heitor Santarém in the 72nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Vicente Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Seixeira's supporters rose to their feet, but Vicente Melo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Santarém breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 77th minute, Vicente Melo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Viriato Porto hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. João Paredes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manuel Santarém showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Melo, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 89th minute Vicente Melo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Santarém saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Afonso Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Ferreira having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
