Fábio Garcia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 38 minutes, Pedro Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Alvora's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Gonçalves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fábio Coelho in the 47th minute of play forced SC Alvora's goalkeeper Fábio Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedro Gonçalves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Américo Silva came out of the goal and Gabriel Gonçalves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Gonçalves struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Américo Silva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Alvora. If Pedro Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Gabriel Gonçalves came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the SC Alvora fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Gonçalves couldn't finish the play.
