Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) João Antunes started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Júlio Freitas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amílcar Pedroso in the 4th minute of play. Cristiano Leiria received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Júlio Freitas came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristiano Leiria slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 8th minute. SC Carquejo's Lourenço Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Antunes in the 10th minute of play. After 12 minutes of play, SC Curalha's João Antunes made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lourenço Barros was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of SC Carquejo booed when SC Curalha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Júlio Freitas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Leiria in the 16th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, SC Curalha's Armando Gonçalves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lourenço Barros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, João Antunes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 44 minutes into the match, SC Curalha's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Leiria came free, but Júlio Freitas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristiano Leiria stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amílcar Pedroso in the 55th minute of play forced SC Curalha's goalkeeper Júlio Freitas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armando Gonçalves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Lourenço Barros made a huge save. After a rather tough play, SC Carquejo's Vicente Nascimento got a free kick in the 63rd minute. In the 65th minute, João Antunes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Amílcar Pedroso struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Júlio Freitas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Carquejo. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Cristiano Leiria managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Carquejo's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristiano Leiria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Júlio Freitas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Cristiano Leiria came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the SC Carquejo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Leiria couldn't finish the play. Júlio Freitas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amílcar Pedroso, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. João Antunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SC Carquejo were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SC Curalha for a fine match.
