Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Xavier Assunção started the match with the kick off. Amadeu Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xavier Assunção, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th minute of the match Cristiano Fonseca shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paulo Simões showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 10thth minute of the game Lúcio Ferro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gaifar FC's Paulo Simões was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 15th minute, Xavier Assunção fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Amadeu Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xavier Assunção in the 22nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by António Costa in the 36th minute of play forced Gaifar FC's goalkeeper Paulo Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 47 played minutes Gaifar FC got a freekick which was hit by Xavier Assunção.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lúcio Ferro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. António Costa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 52ndth minute tested the skills of Paulo Simões when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Armando Pinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gaifar FC's Paulo Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lúcio Ferro in the 65th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Gaifar FC's Adolfo Aleixo got a free kick in the 65th minute. Gabriel Figueiredo hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Alberto Luz from long distance, 67 minutes into the match, got Paulo Simões's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. António Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Paulo Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. António Costas short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Paulo Simões to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 73rd minute, one of Gaifar FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gaifar FC. In the 75th minute there was a penalty for SC Assentiz. Alberto Luz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Paulo Simões. 0-1. Armando Pinto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amadeu Almeida read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Xavier Assunção sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amadeu Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xavier Assunção in the 86th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Armando Pinto in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amadeu Almeida saved SC Assentiz from getting behind. Armando Pinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Amadeu Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
