An unexpectedly hard shot by Lúcio Ferro in the 38th minute of play forced Albergaria FC's goalkeeper Vasco Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lúcio Ferro hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, SC Assentiz's Alexandre Fontes got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After 75 minutes of play, Albergaria FC's Cláudio Moutinho made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Amadeu Almeida was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cláudio Moutinho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amadeu Almeida having to make a save. Amadeu Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogério Aleixo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lúcio Ferro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when António Costa got free with Vasco Leite in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
