Albertino Sá fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Carneiro having to interfere. When Sérgio Amorim fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Piais FC's protests and gave Sérgio Amorim a yellow card for diving instead. After 22 played minutes Piais FC got a freekick which was hit by Sérgio Amorim. Francisco Nunes kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Albertino Sá fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Carneiro having to interfere. Domingos Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duarte Amaral having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Piais FC's zone, Carlos Leite stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Duarte Amaral came out of the goal and Carlos Leite tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Domingos Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duarte Amaral having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Leite in the 65th minute of play forced Piais FC's goalkeeper Duarte Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the game, Nuno Marques was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Piais FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aveledo FC the free kick. Nuno Marques hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. David Nogueira's late challenge caught a Aveledo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Nogueira helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Aveledo FC booed when Piais FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aveledo FC's Domingos Almeida got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Aveledo FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Piais FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Piais FC.
