Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Faniqueira's Cláudio Melo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Filipe Rodrigues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rogério Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cláudio Melo in the 6th minute of play. A collision led to Faniqueira getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Capinha's Lúcio Cruz couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 11th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Faniqueira. In the 12th match minute, Faniqueira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Trindade to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute, Faniqueira's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gonçalo Martins fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. João Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rogério Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cláudio Melo, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Rogério Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filipe Rodrigues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute of the match Catarino Soares shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paulo Pacheco showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Capinha's Rogério Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cláudio Melo in the 31st minute of play. Cláudio Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogério Amaral having to interfere. Lúcio Cruz's late challenge caught a Faniqueira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lúcio Cruz helped the player get up and apologised. After 43 played minutes Capinha got a freekick which was hit by Lúcio Cruz. Joel Trindade missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 45 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Rogério Amaral right hand side.

In the 51st match minute, Faniqueira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Teixeira to maneuver through the defense. Paulo Pacheco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Gonçalves in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute, João Gonçalves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 58 minutes into the match, Faniqueira's goal looked a bit too open when Gonçalo Martins came free, but Paulo Pacheco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If João Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the game, Filipe Martins was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Capinha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Faniqueira the free kick. In the 66th minute, Filipe Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rogério Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cláudio Melo in the 72nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gonçalo Martins in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo Pacheco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 77 minutes, Gonçalo Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Capinha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gonçalo Martins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joel Trindade hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 81st minute, João Gonçalves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rogério Amaral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Filipe Rodrigues in the 84th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cláudio Melo in the 86th minute of play forced Capinha's goalkeeper Rogério Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Joel Trindade charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joel Trindade the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th match minute, Faniqueira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Trindade to maneuver through the defense.
