Jorge Ferro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Cabral in the 3rd minute of play. Gaspar Mota showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Veiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Armando Santarém hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. André Faria was extremely unlucky when he, in the 9th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Cabral in the 20th minute of play forced Ousseira FC's goalkeeper Jorge Ferro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Vaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Jorge Ferro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Carlos Vaz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jorge Ferro was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Jorge Ferro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Cabral in the 31st minute of play. Mariano Moniz hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute, Alexandre Leal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. André Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaspar Mota having to interfere. If Carlos Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Ferro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Vaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alexandre Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alexandre Veiga was the one to do the kick off. If André Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manuel Amaral during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 53 played minutes Mareco FC got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Amaral. Vasco Nunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Ousseira FC's Jacinto Aleixo got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Alexandre Cabral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Jorge Ferro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Vaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Ferro having to interfere. Rafael Moura's late challenge caught a Ousseira FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rafael Moura helped the player get up and apologised. In the 69th match minute, Mareco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Moura to maneuver through the defense. Vasco Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Faria in the 75th minute of play forced Mareco FC's goalkeeper Gaspar Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Mareco FC's zone, André Faria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaspar Mota came out of the goal and André Faria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 81 minutes into the match, Alexandre Cabral dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jorge Ferro, 0-1. Mareco FC's Gaspar Mota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Faria in the 84th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Alexandre Cabral fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jorge Ferro, passed just outside the right post. Alexandre Cabral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alexandre Cabral struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Jorge Ferro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mareco FC.
