Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ricardo Lima started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the game, Mário Aguiar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Oporto's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Urgal the free kick. Bruno Resende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Alexandre Campos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexandre Campos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bruno Resende in the 8th minute. After a rather tough play, Urgal's Bruno Resende got a free kick in the 11th minute. Manuel Leiria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diamantino Matias in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rui Barros saved Urgal from getting behind. Rui Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Leiria in the 17th minute of the match. Rui Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Leiria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diamantino Matias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diamantino Matias struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Rui Barros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Oporto. In the 30th minute, Manuel Leiria got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 32ndth minute of the game Manuel Leiria who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Urgal's Rui Barros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mariano Veiga kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Bruno Resende sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Oporto's Alexandre Campos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Lima in the 47th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Rui Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Leiria in the 53rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luís Vieira during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 62nd minute of the game. One of Urgal:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Oporto:s goal. When the match had been going on for 64 minutes, SC Oporto's Ricardo Ribeiro got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Rui Barros. The attack was good, but when Bruno Resende in the 70th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Urgal's Rui Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Leiria in the 75th minute of play. José Baptista's late challenge caught a Urgal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Baptista helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Urgal booed when SC Oporto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Baptista didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardo Lima took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alexandre Campos. Alexandre Campos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. If Manuel Leiria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rui Barros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diamantino Matias in the 95th minute. The SC Oporto players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Urgal from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
