Cristiano Esteves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nuno Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Esteves having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, SC Braga's goalkeeper Cristiano Esteves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Miguel Coelho. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Amendoa FC reached it. Adelino Andrade's late challenge caught a Amendoa FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adelino Andrade helped the player get up and apologised. After 81 played minutes Amendoa FC got a freekick which was hit by Emílio Porto. After having played for 82 minutes, Armando Fernandes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Braga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Fernandes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 86 minutes into the game, Carlos Veiga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Braga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Amendoa FC the free kick. Carlos Veiga hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Carvalho couldn't finish the play. Amendoa FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SC Braga for a fine match.
