David Fonseca started the match with the kick off. After having played for 4 minutes, Bento Faro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Alcheriubem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bento Faro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. David Fonseca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Filipe Correia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. If David Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Algeriz's Rui Ferreira got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rui Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Luz having to interfere. Adolfo Amaro might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristiano Luz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adolfo Amaro ran back to his position shaking his head. David Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Filipe Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes into the game, Rui Ferreira lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Cristiano Luz. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

56 minutes into the match, Algeriz's goal looked a bit too open when David Fonseca came free, but Filipe Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute, David Fonseca left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Alcheriubem fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 61 minutes into the match, Algeriz's goalkeeper Filipe Correia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bento Faro. In the 63rdth minute of the game Adolfo Amaro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Alcheriubem's Cristiano Luz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cristiano Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Amaro in the 66th minute of play. If Heitor Borba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rui Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Luz having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rui Ferreira in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristiano Luz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Adolfo Amaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adolfo Amaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SC Alcheriubem's Cristiano Luz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Amaro in the 88th minute of play. The SC Alcheriubem players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Algeriz from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
