Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when José Vaz got the match started through his kick off. If Marco Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Calhetas FC's zone, Vicente Macedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diogo Ramos came out of the goal and Vicente Macedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Inácio Moura charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Inácio Moura the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Inácio Moura hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Vicente Macedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Diogo Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Barros in the 12th minute of the match. After 16 minutes, Jorge Fonseca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Calhetas FC and the Arrujo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Arrujo FC booed when Calhetas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Arrujo FC's Gonçalo Leite broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Marco Branco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Xavier Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Vaz in the 25th minute of play. In the 25th match minute, Arrujo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Cardoso to maneuver through the defense. Arrujo FC's Xavier Ribeiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Arrujo FC from getting a goal against them. 28 minutes into the match, Calhetas FC's José Vaz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Xavier Ribeiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Calhetas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Macedo came free, but Diogo Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Arrujo FC's zone, José Vaz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xavier Ribeiro came out of the goal and José Vaz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Armando Cardoso kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 41st match minute, Arrujo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Macedo to maneuver through the defense. After 47 minutes of play, Calhetas FC's José Vaz made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Xavier Ribeiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vicente Macedo made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Amílcar Santarém hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marco Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Diogo Ramos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Vaz in the 57th minute of play forced Arrujo FC's goalkeeper Xavier Ribeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Calhetas FC's Diogo Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Macedo in the 60th minute of play. With a little luck, Calhetas FC's Diogo Ramos got control of the ball when Marco Barros tried to sneak it across the goal line. Diogo Ramos made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Marco Barros sent off a good shot on target. Xavier Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Branco, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. When Calhetas FC's Marco Branco in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Vicente Macedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rafael Vale was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 82nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After having played for 86 minutes, Vicente Macedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arrujo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vicente Macedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 90th minute, Arrujo FC's Vicente Macedo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Diogo Ramos. Diogo Ramos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. If Vicente Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vicente Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Xavier Ribeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Branco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
