Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vicente Monteiro to make the kick off. Bruno Moura who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Gil Assis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Henrique Anjos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrique Assunção, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Saimes FC's Domingos Pinheiro got a free kick in the 64th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Saimes FC's goalkeeper Gil Assis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruno Moura. Gil Assis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vicente Monteiro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gil Assis came out and tried to block the shot, but Vicente Monteiro slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 95th minute. SC Azabuxo's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
