Lúcio Anjos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Mota having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Óscar Martins was the one to do the kick off. If Lúcio Anjos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rui Soares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of João Magalhães's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. David Borba received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. André Mota came out and tried to block the shot, but David Borba slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 76th minute. In the 80th minute, Lúcio Anjos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. André Mota made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Borba in the 84th minute. Rui Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Magalhães, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. When David Borba came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Brejos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Borba couldn't finish the play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
