Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Cristiano Branco scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Heitor Borba, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rogério Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Assis having to interfere. Catarino Faro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Encourados's Catarino Faro got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emanuel Assis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rogério Ribeiro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 32 minute of play. Eduardo Branco's late challenge caught a Encourados's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eduardo Branco helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Encourados booed when Praia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th match minute, Encourados was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonso Antunes to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Encourados's António Assunção got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 43rd minute, Joaquim Maia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Praia FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. When Joaquim Maia came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Praia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquim Maia couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rogério Ribeiro to strike the kick off in the second half. Joaquim Guarda kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 53rd minute Rogério Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Assis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute, Joaquim Maia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Heitor Borba was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Rogério Ribeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Encourados's supporters rose to their feet, but Rogério Ribeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuel Assis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Encourados fans' excitement grew in the 72nd match minute when Encourados's Rogério Ribeiro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Encourados getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Afonso Antunes hit a great ball. If Joaquim Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes into the match, Praia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Catarino Faro came free, but Emanuel Assis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rogério Ribeiro in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emanuel Assis saved Praia FC from getting behind. If Joaquim Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Encourados's Heitor Borba proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Encourados from getting a goal against them. Joaquim Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heitor Borba having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rogério Ribeiro in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emanuel Assis saved Praia FC from getting behind. The Encourados supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Praia FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Praia FC.
