Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rogério Ribeiro took the kick off in the first half of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Freitas during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Meco FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. José Freitas hit a great ball. Cândido Jesus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rogério Ribeiro in the 5th minute of play. Cândido Jesus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rogério Ribeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Pacheco in the 11th minute of play forced Encourados's goalkeeper Heitor Borba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Catarino Faro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Encourados's supporters rose to their feet, but Catarino Faro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cândido Jesus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Catarino Faro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rogério Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Cândido Jesus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cândido Jesus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Catarino Faro's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Cândido Jesus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogério Ribeiro in the 37th minute of the match. In the 37th match minute, Meco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Freitas to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute of the match Pedro Antunes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Heitor Borba showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. João Tavares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gustavo Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 66th minute, Meco FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Catarino Faro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Rui Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. José Freitas kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Encourados's zone, Gustavo Gaspar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Heitor Borba came out of the goal and Gustavo Gaspar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joaquim Pacheco kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Rogério Ribeiro was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 76th minute. Encourados's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Rogério Ribeiro came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Encourados fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogério Ribeiro couldn't finish the play. Encourados's Catarino Faro got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Catarino Faro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 88 minutes in the game, Rogério Ribeiro fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Cândido Jesus having to interfere. João Tavares might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Heitor Borba. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. João Tavares ran back to his position shaking his head. Gustavo Gaspar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute.
