Tomás Campos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Delfim Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Tomás Campos came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the SC Granjinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomás Campos couldn't finish the play. Rui Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in SC Granjinha's zone, Álvaro Veiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vicente Cabral came out of the goal and Álvaro Veiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vicente Cabral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Assis in the 21st minute of play. If Rui Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomás Campos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Delfim Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rui Martins received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Delfim Silva came out and tried to block the shot, but Rui Martins slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 26th minute. Delfim Silva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomás Campos in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the match, SC Roge's goalkeeper Delfim Silva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomás Campos. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Assis in the 40th minute of play forced SC Granjinha's goalkeeper Vicente Cabral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SC Roge's Jaime Assis got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 53rd minute of the match SC Granjinha got a corner. SC Roge's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jorge Neves ran over to the corner to take the kick. At last the ball reached Cláudio Amaro at the corner, ending with a kick to difficult to stop for the goalkeeper of SC Roge. 2-0. In the 57th minute of the match, Jaime Assis tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vicente Cabral saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Vicente Cabral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Álvaro Veiga in the 61st minute. SC Roge's Viriato Luz suffered a concussion in the 67th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Vicente Cabral made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Álvaro Veiga sent off a good shot on target. Rui Martins's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Delfim Silva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. After a rather tough play, SC Roge's Abel Correia got a free kick in the 77th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui Martins in the 78th minute of play forced SC Roge's goalkeeper Delfim Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Rui Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute, Amadeu Borba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 87 minutes, Álvaro Veiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Roge's supporters crossed their fingers, but Álvaro Veiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rui Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Delfim Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Martins in the 92nd minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. SC Granjinha had played much better football throughout.
