After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Jacinto Pacheco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alhoes's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacinto Pacheco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rui Mota breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 4th minute Rogério Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Guarda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacinto Pacheco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Rui Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Codes's Gaspar Carvalho got a free kick in the 8th minute. 9 minutes into the match, Hélder Gonçalves notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Codes's Rui Mota. Rui Mota was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Codes getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. The attack was good, but when Rogério Faria in the 16th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. João Fernandes hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Jacinto Pacheco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rui Mota took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hélder Gonçalves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rui Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Pacheco in the 39th minute of the match. When Hélder Gonçalves came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Alhoes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hélder Gonçalves couldn't finish the play.

Jacinto Pacheco was extremely unlucky when he, in the 72nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. A collision led to Codes getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Gaspar Carvalho hit a great ball. 77 minutes into the match, Alhoes's goal looked a bit too open when Emílio Viegas came free, but Vicente Guarda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogério Faria in the 88th minute of play forced Alhoes's goalkeeper Vicente Guarda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alhoes's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
