Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) After a rather tough play, Melhorada's Afonso Paiva got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Afonso Gueifão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guirela's supporters rose to their feet, but Afonso Gueifão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacinto Paiva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jacinto Paiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Branco in the 9th minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, Tiago Marques cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jacinto Paiva was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luís Amaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Aguiar having to interfere. When Hugo Branco came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Guirela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hugo Branco couldn't finish the play. 22 minutes into the match, Afonso Gueifão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jacinto Paiva. Melhorada's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Afonso Gueifão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After a rather tough play, Melhorada's Pedro Pinho got a free kick in the 26th minute. Hugo Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Paiva having to interfere. When Guirela's Afonso Gueifão in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Melhorada's goalie prevented a goal. In the 31st minute Afonso Gueifão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Paiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Afonso Gueifão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jacinto Paiva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Afonso Gueifão's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Melhorada's Jacinto Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Gueifão in the 38th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tiago Marques during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. José Aguiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Amaro in the 41st minute of play. If Luís Amaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guirela's José Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Amaro in the 45th minute of play. Armindo Miranda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hugo Branco was the one to do the kick off. Luís Amaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Hugo Branco succeeded in the game's 62nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-3. In the 68th minute, Armindo Miranda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Aguiar was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Tiago Pacheco kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, Guirela's goal looked a bit too open when Armindo Miranda came free, but José Aguiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 74 minutes into the game, Melhorada's Armindo Miranda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. José Aguiar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Hugo Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Amaro in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Aguiar saved Guirela from getting behind. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guirela's goalkeeper José Aguiar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Guirela's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
