Paulo Gomes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Catarino Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Manuel Mota hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, Adolfo Resende successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Adolfo Resende made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Manuel Santarém sent off a good shot on target. Ricardo Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adolfo Resende took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manuel Santarém could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Adolfo Resende made a huge save. In the 31st minute, Catarino Amaral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paulo Gomes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Sérgio Delgado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Plisqueira FC's Ricardo Vale got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ricardo Vale received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Adolfo Resende came out and tried to block the shot, but Ricardo Vale slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 46th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ricardo Vale stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, Cansado's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Vale came free, but Adolfo Resende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute, Manuel Mota hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 63 minutes into the game, Ricardo Vale cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Adolfo Resende was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Sérgio Delgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Catarino Amaral in the 69th minute of play forced Plisqueira FC's goalkeeper Paulo Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute Catarino Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Gomes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Sérgio Delgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Catarino Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Gomes having to interfere. With his leg Paulo Gomes managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when Cansado's Sérgio Delgado fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sérgio Delgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Paulo Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Plisqueira FC's Paulo Gomes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Plisqueira FC from getting a goal against them.
