The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Guerreiro during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ancos FC booed when SC Ramila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Guerreiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Aleixo had great luck who in the 16thth minute grab hold of the ball when Cristóvão Vieira from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 22nd match minute, Ancos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Antunes to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Ancos FC's Cristóvão Vieira got a free kick in the 23rd minute. When Pedro Leal came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the SC Ramila fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Leal couldn't finish the play. With an all-out effort, Ancos FC's Carlos Aleixo threw himself towards the right post 41 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cristóvão Vieira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexandre Esteves to make the kick off.
