Manuel Leiria's late challenge caught a SC Ervedeiros's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manuel Leiria helped the player get up and apologised. Humberto Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. David Pinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Pinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute of the match Miguel Nunes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but David Pinho showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 19th minute of the match Oliveira Gomes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but David Pinho skillfully saved the ball. David Pinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humberto Leão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Humberto Leão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Pinho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. In the 28th minute, José Azevedo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Miguel Campos, passed just outside the right post. 32 minutes into the game, one of SC Ervedeiros:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 38 played minutes SC Ervedeiros got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Nunes. After 41 minutes of play, SC Ervedeiros's Jacinto Dias made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. David Pinho was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 45th minute Manuel Leiria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Campos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

David Pinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Ervedeiros. Jacinto Dias hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute José Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Campos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th match minute, Congeto FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delfim Assis to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 92 minutes, Humberto Leão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Ervedeiros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Humberto Leão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Humberto Leão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but David Pinho made a huge save. Congeto FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though SC Ervedeiros had controlled the match.
