SC Ervedeiros's Miguel Campos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélder Garcia in the 9th minute of play. Fernando Morais sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernando Morais's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miguel Campos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Hélder Garcia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miguel Campos having to make a save. After 19 minutes of play, SC Mograo's Hélder Garcia made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Miguel Campos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cristiano Pereira hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After having played for 25 minutes, Fernando Morais managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Mograo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Morais was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 29th minute, Fernando Morais left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Mograo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in SC Ervedeiros's zone, Fernando Morais stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miguel Campos came out of the goal and Fernando Morais tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Miguel Campos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélder Garcia in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th match minute, SC Ervedeiros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusébio Alves to maneuver through the defense. Humberto Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of SC Ervedeiros booed when SC Mograo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélder Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Humberto Leão got free with Joaquim Pacheco in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jacinto Dias to make the kick off. Jacinto Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Joaquim Pacheco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Morais could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Miguel Campos made a huge save. Joaquim Pacheco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Humberto Leão's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. After having played for 71 minutes, Humberto Leão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Ervedeiros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Humberto Leão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to SC Mograo getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Lourenço Faro hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Leão in the 79th minute of play forced SC Mograo's goalkeeper Joaquim Pacheco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joaquim Pacheco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacinto Dias, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Jacinto Melo's late challenge caught a SC Ervedeiros's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jacinto Melo helped the player get up and apologised. Jacinto Melo kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Jacinto Dias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquim Pacheco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. SC Mograo's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
