Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Mariano Coelho kicked off to start the match. 1-0 became the score in the 4th minute when António Gomes elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. A collision led to Ermegil getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Sérgio Aguiar hit a great ball. In the 9th minute, Manuel Melo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ermegil's Alfredo Assunção didn't even have to move. A collision led to SC Casaldima getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Xavier Brito hit a great ball. After having played for 21 minutes, António Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ermegil's supporters crossed their fingers, but António Gomes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mariano Coelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Alfredo Assunção tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Daniel Gonçalves came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Ermegil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Gonçalves couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by António Gomes in the 35th minute of play forced SC Casaldima's goalkeeper André Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Mariano Coelho notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Ermegil's Alfredo Assunção. Alfredo Assunção was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to SC Casaldima getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Alexandre Sousa hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, SC Casaldima's Júlio Lima got a free kick in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

53 minutes into the match, Ermegil's goalkeeper Alfredo Assunção had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricardo Marques. An unexpectedly hard shot by António Gomes in the 57th minute of play forced SC Casaldima's goalkeeper André Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute, Sérgio Aguiar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mariano Coelho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ermegil's Alfredo Assunção played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Coelho in the 63rd minute of play. André Mendes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Gonçalves in the 77th minute of play. Lourenço Domingues hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ermegil's zone, Ricardo Marques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Assunção came out of the goal and Ricardo Marques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 84 minutes, Bento Borges mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Casaldima and the Ermegil players grew even worse after the yellow card. SC Casaldima's André Mendes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Gonçalves in the 90th minute of play. Lourenço Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
