Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Paulo Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Almeida in the 5th minute of play. After 23 played minutes SC Palames got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar Domingues. Nuno Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Paulo Esteves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Casconho FC's zone, Nuno Almeida stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Esteves came out of the goal and Nuno Almeida tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Casconho FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Sebastião Tavares hit a great ball. Nuno Almeida's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Esteves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. After having played for 34 minutes, Ricardo Borba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Casconho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardo Borba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 36 minutes into the match, SC Palames's goal looked a bit too open when Xavier Neves came free, but Eusébio Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Amaro in the 39th minute of the match. Francisco Assis charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francisco Assis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 42nd minute, Francisco Assis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulo Esteves made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Jorge Amaro sent off a good shot on target. 46 minutes had been played when some careless play by Casconho FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gustavo Setúbal was slow to take the kick. During this time SC Palames's players had a chance to rest. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Casconho FC's Ricardo Borba got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Basílio Coelho charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 65th match minute, Casconho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastião Tavares to maneuver through the defense. Casconho FC's Paulo Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Almeida in the 66th minute of play. If Xavier Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 74 minutes into the match, Casconho FC's Ricardo Borba sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eusébio Cunha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Amaro in the 92nd minute of play forced Casconho FC's goalkeeper Paulo Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Nuno Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno Almeida in the 95th minute of the match. Paulo Esteves came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Palames's Jorge Amaro. But to his dismay, Jorge Amaro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Palames fans cheered their team off the field, for while Casconho FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
