In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Gamas's goalkeeper Xavier Freitas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, SC Gamas's André Trindade got a free kick in the 9th minute. Ricardo Borba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to SC Gamas getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Jaime Porto hit a great ball. In the 14th minute, Francisco Assis sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SC Gamas's Xavier Freitas didn't even have to move. If Filipe Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 19 minutes, Xavier Freitas successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some careless play in the Casconho FC defense, Filipe Andrade kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paulo Esteves. The Casconho FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paulo Esteves should have stopped the shot. Paulo Esteves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Américo Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Américo Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ricardo Borba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xavier Freitas having to interfere. If Américo Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xavier Neves received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Xavier Freitas came out and tried to block the shot, but Xavier Neves slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 35th minute. Paulo Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filipe Andrade in the 42nd minute of the match. Américo Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Xavier Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Xavier Neves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee showed Simão Ferro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Simão Ferro kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Ricardo Borba managed to get in a good position for a shot. Casconho FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardo Borba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xavier Freitas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 64th minute, Simão Ferro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ricardo Borba came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Casconho FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricardo Borba couldn't finish the play. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Gamas's goalkeeper Xavier Freitas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Filipe Andrade came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the SC Gamas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filipe Andrade couldn't finish the play. Paulo Esteves was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Filipe Andrade capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Filipe Andrade really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. When Filipe Andrade came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the SC Gamas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filipe Andrade couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Américo Castro got free with Paulo Esteves in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 85 minutes into the game, one of Casconho FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Paulo Esteves, was totally fooled by SC Gamas's Basílio Brás, who 87 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After a defensive mix-up in Casconho FC's zone, Américo Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Esteves came out of the goal and Américo Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Basílio Vieira kicked well hit freekick during the 101st minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SC Gamas eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
