Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Costilhao's Jorge Alves started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute Jorge Amaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simão Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eusébio Cunha was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jorge Alves showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. Jorge Alves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Eusébio Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorge Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Cunha having to interfere. Eusébio Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Alves in the 23rd minute of the match. Emílio Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Eusébio Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Simão Marques came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Palames's Jorge Amaro. But to his dismay, Jorge Amaro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 41st minute, Domingos Matos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jorge Amaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nuno Almeida to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Costilhao's goal looked a bit too open when Nuno Almeida came free, but Simão Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 52 minutes, Afonso Veiga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costilhao and the SC Palames players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Palames's António Alves got a free kick in the 60th minute. Rafael Correia was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 61st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Eusébio Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emílio Tavares in the 66th minute of the match. In the 68th minute Emílio Tavares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusébio Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Nuno Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Costilhao's zone, Jorge Amaro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simão Marques came out of the goal and Jorge Amaro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nuno Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nuno Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simão Marques having to interfere. Nuno Almeida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 87 minutes of play Costilhao's Afonso Veiga was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of SC Palames booed when Costilhao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonso Veiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. 89 minutes into the match, SC Palames's Jorge Amaro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Simão Marques narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Almeida in the 93rd minute of play forced Costilhao's goalkeeper Simão Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
