Pomaraco FC's Viriato Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Santarém in the 6th minute of play. Cendufe FC's Paulo Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Araújo in the 8th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Amílcar Matias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulo Melo was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. João Domingues was slow to take the kick. During this time Cendufe FC's players had a chance to rest. When Miguel Araújo fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pomaraco FC's protests and gave Miguel Araújo a yellow card for diving instead. Miguel Araújo kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Filipe Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viriato Azevedo having to interfere. Cristiano Santarém received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Viriato Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Miguel Araújo made a precise shot to the right of Paulo Melo. Cendufe FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Pomaraco FC's zone, Gustavo Coimbra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Viriato Azevedo came out of the goal and Gustavo Coimbra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristiano Santarém to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Pomaraco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Coimbra came free, but Viriato Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manuel Aguiar's late challenge caught a Cendufe FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manuel Aguiar helped the player get up and apologised. Manuel Aguiar hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Cendufe FC's João Domingues tried to score from far away in the 56th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Cristiano Santarém sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute, Gustavo Coimbra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Viriato Azevedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Cristiano Santarém struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Viriato Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cendufe FC. Gustavo Coimbra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Viriato Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Viriato Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Santarém in the 80th minute of the match. When Gustavo Coimbra came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Cendufe FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustavo Coimbra couldn't finish the play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
