Eduardo Borba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jorge Maia, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Jorge Maia was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 24th minute. Rapoila FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amílcar Cunha in the 27th minute of play forced Rapoila FC's goalkeeper Nuno Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amílcar Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Marques having to interfere. Inácio Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rapoila FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Macos the free kick. After a rather tough play, Rapoila FC's Rafael Santos got a free kick in the 44th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jorge Maia made a kick off. Nuno Marques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amílcar Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Rapoila FC's Rafael Santos got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 78th minute Jorge Maia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Borba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Inácio Macedo had several of the Rapoila FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 81 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Nuno Marques as he didn't even see the shot coming. Eduardo Borba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Maia in the 84th minute of play. Eduardo Leiria struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Eduardo Borba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rapoila FC. When Humberto Magalhães came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Rapoila FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humberto Magalhães couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the SC Macos defense, Jorge Maia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eduardo Borba. The SC Macos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eduardo Borba should have stopped the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SC Macos eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
