Carlos Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Fernandes having to interfere. Gustavo Castro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abel Campos's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Jorge Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Rui Leiria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ferreiros FC's Carlos Andrade was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 15th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. José Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Gustavo Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vítor Tavares hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. After 23 minutes of play, Cogambreiro's Abel Campos made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gustavo Castro was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 26 played minutes Ferreiros FC got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Pinho. José Tavares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vítor Tavares kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. If José Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot by Bento Santos from long distance, 35 minutes into the match, got Jorge Fernandes's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 37th minute Rui Leiria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Fernandes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ferreiros FC's zone, José Tavares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Castro came out of the goal and José Tavares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cogambreiro's Abel Campos got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 46 minutes into the game, Abel Campos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Gustavo Castro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rui Leiria stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Ferreiros FC's Rui Leiria in 55 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Jorge Fernandes guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. The supporters of Cogambreiro booed when Ferreiros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor Tavares didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute, José Tavares left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cogambreiro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Jorge Fernandes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Andrade in the 80th minute of the match. Jorge Cunha charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jorge Cunha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jorge Cunha hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Cogambreiro's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
