The supporters of SC Gabrieis booed when Ferreiros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Henriques didn't get a good kick on the ball. Álvaro Gonçalves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Andrade's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. When Vítor Tavares fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ferreiros FC's protests and gave Vítor Tavares a yellow card for diving instead. Vítor Tavares kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. 18 minutes in the game, David Ribeiro fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Gustavo Castro having to interfere. In the 19th match minute, SC Gabrieis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Simões to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute Carlos Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Álvaro Gonçalves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute, Vítor Tavares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes in the game, António Simões dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Gustavo Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. When Cristiano Veiga fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ferreiros FC's protests and gave Cristiano Veiga a yellow card for diving instead. Gustavo Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Ribeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Simão Paiva kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Gustavo Castro came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Gabrieis's António Simões. But to his dismay, António Simões quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 97 minutes of play, SC Gabrieis's António Simões made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gustavo Castro was left in no man's land by his defense there! For all the effort they put into the match, the Ferreiros FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SC Gabrieis.
