SC Compostela's Jaime Garcia got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 15 played minutes Pedraca FC got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Monteiro. After a defensive mix-up in Pedraca FC's zone, Pedro Vale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Martins came out of the goal and Pedro Vale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Pedraca FC's Álvaro Anjos got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 22nd minute, Manuel Pinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Barbosa was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 30th minute. Pedraca FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Jaime Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Barbosas short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got Bernardo Barbosa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Carlos Barbosa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Bernardo Barbosa made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Gueifão got free with Bernardo Barbosa in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 47th minute, SC Compostela's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Carlos Barbosa fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 1-1 became the score in the 48th minute when Sebastião Castro elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sebastião Castro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Pedraca FC got a freekick which was hit by Adelino Coimbra. With a little luck, Pedraca FC's Fernando Martins got control of the ball when Pedro Vale tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sebastião Castro's late challenge caught a SC Compostela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedraca FC's Fernando Martins proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Pedraca FC from getting a goal against them. Carlos Barbosa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernardo Barbosa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. After a rather tough play, SC Compostela's Manuel Pinto got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 97th minute Sebastião Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Barbosa might have been able to make a better finish in the 99th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bernardo Barbosa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlos Barbosa ran back to his position shaking his head. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
