After 29 played minutes, Azenha FC's António Borges shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fernando Martins came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Azenha FC reached it. Emílio Macedo came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Pedraca FC's Sebastião Castro. But to his dismay, Sebastião Castro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Sebastião Castro struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Emílio Macedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pedraca FC. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mário Leão was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Carlos Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pedraca FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mário Leão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 92nd minute, Pedraca FC's Sebastião Castro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Pedraca FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
