Caires's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alexandre Torres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 7th minute Viriato Luz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Lisboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Murtosa FC defense, André Dias kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernardo Melo. The Murtosa FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernardo Melo should have stopped the shot. Jorge Torres's late challenge caught a Murtosa FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorge Torres helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Dias in the 17th minute of play forced Murtosa FC's goalkeeper Bernardo Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Caires booed when Murtosa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. The supporters of Murtosa FC booed when Caires was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Veiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Murtosa FC's Bernardo Melo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Murtosa FC from getting a goal against them. Alexandre Torres struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Humberto Lisboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Murtosa FC.
