Murtosa FC's Bernardo Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diamantino Almeida in the 7th minute of play. After having played for 10 minutes, Alexandre Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Murtosa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Torres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Viriato Luz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Diamantino Anjos charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diamantino Anjos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alexandre Torres scored 0-2 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Diogo Dantas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cegonheira's Diogo Dantas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Torres in the 22nd minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, Viriato Luz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Murtosa FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cegonheira the free kick. After 24 played minutes Murtosa FC got a freekick which was hit by Viriato Luz. When Murtosa FC's Alexandre Torres in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cegonheira's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Cegonheira's Diamantino Almeida slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bernardo Melo. That made the score 1-2 after 29 minutes of play. Hugo Cardoso kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Diogo Dantas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Torres in the 35th minute of play. After having played for 38 minutes, Diamantino Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cegonheira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diamantino Almeida was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When André Magalhães came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Cegonheira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Magalhães couldn't finish the play. The Cegonheira players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Murtosa FC were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diamantino Almeida to make the kick off. Viriato Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diogo Dantas having to interfere. Bernardo Melo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from André Magalhães went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. After having played for 61 minutes, Alexandre Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Murtosa FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Torres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oliveira Soares hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Viriato Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernardo Melo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Magalhães in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Gil Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If André Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute Diamantino Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Diamantino Almeida's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernardo Melo was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. In the 84th minute André Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardo Melo came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Cegonheira's André Magalhães. But to his dismay, André Magalhães quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Diamantino Anjos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. André Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Melo having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diamantino Almeida in the 97th minute of play forced Murtosa FC's goalkeeper Bernardo Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Murtosa FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cegonheira.
