Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jorge Castro started the match with the kick off. Jorge Castro struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Álvaro Aleixo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Bandorreira. João Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Neto having to interfere. SC Bandorreira's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gonçalo Cruz 12 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. When Jorge Castro came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the SC Bandorreira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Castro couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Fradelos getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. David Aguiar hit a great ball. Fradelos's Álvaro Aleixo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Castro in the 21st minute of play. Luís Guarda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Álvaro Aleixo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd match minute, Fradelos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Rocha to maneuver through the defense. After 25 played minutes Fradelos got a freekick which was hit by Gonçalo Cruz. In the 26th minute, Jorge Castro made a precise shot to the right of Álvaro Aleixo. Fradelos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Fradelos's Álvaro Aleixo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Castro in the 29th minute of play. João Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Joel Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorge Castro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Álvaro Aleixo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. If João Baptista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Bandorreira's Joel Neto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save SC Bandorreira from getting a goal against them. Luís Guarda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gonçalo Cruz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in SC Bandorreira's zone, Tiago Lisboa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Neto came out of the goal and Tiago Lisboa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joel Neto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Baptista in the 59th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 63 minutes into the game, when Carlos Simões put in a rough tackle. In the 62nd minute, one of SC Bandorreira:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Bandorreira. Joel Neto had in the 65thth minute some difficulties stopping Tiago Lisboa's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Vasco Oliveira hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute João Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Neto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Baptista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fradelos's Gonçalo Cruz got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. João Baptista took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joel Neto. Joel Neto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 88 minutes into the game, Fradelos's Gonçalo Cruz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joel Neto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Luís Guarda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Álvaro Aleixo made a huge save. SC Bandorreira's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
