After 10 played minutes Batocas got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Lima. Delfim Melo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 11th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Francisco Leiria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Paredes, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. José Domingues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Costa having to interfere. After 19 minutes, Luís Miranda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Batocas and the SC Lazarim players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Batocas's Luís Miranda got a free kick in the 19th minute. Mariano Paredes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Leiria having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Manuel Campos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. João Assunção's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 29thth minute, Francisco Leiria skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Through an outstanding action, after 30 minutes, Francisco Leiria successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jorge Machado during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Batocas booed when SC Lazarim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Machado didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that José Domingues's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Costa was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. In the 39th minute, José Domingues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luís Miranda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Paredes in the 45th minute of play forced Batocas's goalkeeper Francisco Leiria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mariano Paredes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Francisco Leiria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

SC Lazarim's Pedro Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Miranda in the 76th minute of play. Luís Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Paredes in the 87th minute of play forced Batocas's goalkeeper Francisco Leiria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
