After having played for 14 minutes, Tiago Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Calvaria FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiago Pereira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Batocas's goalkeeper Francisco Leiria, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Miranda in the 27th minute of play forced Calvaria FC's goalkeeper Emílio Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mário Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Francisco Leiria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tiago Pereira struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Francisco Leiria didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Calvaria FC. Tiago Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mário Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Francisco Leiria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tiago Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Leiria having to interfere. 47 minutes into the game, Alexandre Lisboa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Batocas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Calvaria FC the free kick. Alexandre Lisboa kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tiago Pereira to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Calvaria FC's zone, Luís Miranda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emílio Vieira came out of the goal and Luís Miranda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. José Domingues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Emílio Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Batocas booed when Calvaria FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Américo Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Luís Miranda got free in front of the goal in the 62nd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Emílio Vieira was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. José Domingues's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emílio Vieira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Tiago Pereira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luís Miranda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emílio Vieira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Batocas's zone, Américo Mendes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco Leiria came out of the goal and Américo Mendes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 82nd minute, José Domingues ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emílio Vieira was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. A collision led to Batocas getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Alexandre Lisboa hit a great ball. Francisco Leiria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiago Pereira in the 91st minute of the match. In the 94th minute Tiago Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Leiria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Batocas had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
