Pedro Guerreiro struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Alberto Leite didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vermelhos. Pedro Guerreiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Alberto Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 88 minutes of play Lagarinhos's Artur Vieira was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 89 played minutes Lagarinhos got a freekick which was hit by Artur Vieira. When Pedro Guerreiro came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Vermelhos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Guerreiro couldn't finish the play. The Vermelhos supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Vermelhos would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
